Haaretz: The dimensions of Israel’s recent defeat are deeper than the 33-day war

A Zionist newspaper Haaretz wrote that the dimensions of Israel’s defeat in the current war are deeper and bigger than all previous wars, even the 33-day war.

The Zionist newspaper Haaretz, in a series of articles, strongly criticized the provocation of the Zionist regime’s leaders in the Gaza Strip and the contradiction of these actions with the interests of Tel Aviv, and wrote that the preparations of the Israeli army all failed in this war and it became clear that the army had no strategy. The article, written by the newspaper’s editor-in-chief, Aluf Bin, called for internal reforms and investigations into the military.

The article adds that the recent military operation on the ninth day showed that it was the most defeated and unnecessary war that Israel has entered, the newspaper wrote.

This Zionist writer pointed to the dangerous military and political failure and failure in the preparation of the Israeli army and the poor management and confused and incompetent command of the cabinet and emphasized that instead of trying in vain to prove themselves victorious in the war and to continue the killing and destruction in Gaza and to suspend life in Israel, the Israelis should immediately stop the war and agree to a ceasefire and hope that they can quickly repair the dimensions of this defeat.

He called for an internal investigation into the military, but stressed that the main culprit in the case was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who started the war for his own internal political position and not for Israel’s interests.

The Zionist newspaper has listed the dimensions of the army’s defeat in this operation in the following cases:

  • Israel’s surprise at Hamas’ initiative and its courage and fighting power in launching thousands of missiles into Israel’s internal front.
  • Israel pays special attention to the principle of confrontation between the wars and keeping the northern front and Iran active and ignoring Gaza.
  • Intelligence and strategic failure by downplaying Hamas and its military capabilities and the army’s inability to gather information and targets from Gaza.

Alof Bin continued the article by pointing to the Zionist regime’s propaganda efforts on the home front to prove itself victorious in this war and stressed that none of these efforts could hide the fundamental fact that the Israeli army has no views on how it has no power to silence Hamas and take it out of balance. Although the demolition of Hamas tunnels could demonstrate Israel’s operational and strategic strength, it does not harm the fighting capabilities of the Palestinian resistance.

He spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was not the answer.

In his article, Bonn stressed that there was no justification for continuing to invade the Gaza Strip because, in addition to killing and injuring dozens in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israel’s massive rocket fire, daily life in the southern occupied territories was completely paralyzed.

He went on to cite predictions by Israeli Reserve General Yitzhak Brick, who had repeatedly warned of a war on Israel’s home front, saying that Israel had no power to respond to the thousands of missiles fired and that ground forces were unable to fight.
