Germany has declared two employees of the Russian embassy in Berlin an undesirable element

The German Foreign Ministry has declared two employees of the Russian embassy in Berlin inadmissible in connection with the murder of a Georgian citizen in Germany.

According to Pak Sahafat International Group, quoted by RIA Novosti, the German government has called two employees of the Russian embassy in Berlin “undesirable elements” in connection with the murder of a Georgian citizen, German Foreign Minister Annalna Bairbock told a news conference on Wednesday.

The German Foreign Minister accused the Russian government of issuing an order to a Georgian citizen in Germany: “As the court announced today, the murder was ordered by the government. This is for this reason; we summoned the Russian ambassador for talks and informed him that two employees of the Russian embassy would be declared an undesirable element.”

Hours ago, a German court convicted a Russian citizen of murdering a Georgian citizen in 2018 and sentenced him to life in prison.

The German prosecutor’s office, which has demanded the life sentence of the Russian citizen, claims that the murder of the Georgian citizen was ordered by Russian government agencies.

Russia’s ambassador to Germany, Sergei Nechayev, reacted to the German court’s ruling by saying that it was a blatant unfriendly act and would not go unanswered by Russia.

He stressed that the German court ruling was a discriminatory and political ruling that would seriously damage Moscow-Berlin relations.
