Germans are still protesting against the policies of the Berlin government

Pak Sahafat – Thousands of people in the city of Dresden, Germany once again marched in protest against the increase in energy prices and with the slogan “Peace and freedom; demonstration for human rights, democracy, separation of powers and responsibility of politicians”.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Germany’s Suddeutsche newspaper, demonstrators who, according to the announcement of the German police, were from two groups of “lateral thinking” supporters and supporters of one of the right-wing German populist parties, marched in the center of Dresden.

Earlier, the organizers of this demonstration announced the readiness of 8,000 people to participate in this gathering, while the police estimated the number of protesters to be around 8,700.

One of the participants in this protest told “Raptly”: I don’t know how to pay the bills. The price of housing rent and living expenses are increasing every day. I have no choice but to come to the street.

Raptelli also pointed to the banners and slogans of the demonstrators and wrote: They condemn the government’s policies regarding military actions and demand the defense of peace in Berlin.

These protests have also been widely reflected in social networks. By sharing the pictures of these protests, many wrote about the German demand for the end of the sanctions against Russia.

In this regard, some also wrote that while the people of Europe do not want to suffer from starvation and frostbite because of Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, and Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, the media of the European Union refuse to cover such protests and seek to continue the war.

This is while the employees of the German metallurgical and electrical industries have started their strike for the last two days by the invitation of the powerful union “IG Metall” to demand a wage increase. According to the regional statements of this union, 2 thousand people have joined this strike since Saturday.

According to AFP, the duration of this strike is not known, but negotiations between union leaders and employers are scheduled for November 10.

High energy prices caused by the war in Ukraine have put a lot of pressure on governments across Europe. Europe’s leaders are trying to prevent the pressure of rising energy costs on people and businesses.

In the past weeks, some European countries, including Romania, France, Germany, England, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Moldova, have been the scene of popular protests and widespread strikes.
