Gantz likened Netanyahu’s remarks to Trump’s invitation to attack Congress

The Israeli Minister of War likened the Prime Minister’s request to freelancers and small businesses to protest in front of the Ministry of Justice to the former US President’s invitation to attack Congress.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s call for freelancers and small businesses to hold large-scale demonstrations and protests in front of the Justice Ministry building was met with a sharp response from Israeli War Minister Bani Gantz.

Gantz – who is also the regime’s interim justice minister – wrote on Twitter that Netanyahu is following in the footsteps of former US President Donald Trump in calling on people to attack government buildings.

According to the Jerusalem Post, he described Netanyahu’s recent remarks as “dangerous and provocative” and called on him to take action as soon as possible.

Gantz explained that Justice Department staff is working around the clock to help those affected by the Covid 19 virus outbreak and subsequent restrictions. He stressed that Netanyahu is responsible for the delay in paying financial support to those people.

In a meeting with small business owners in a café in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday, Netanyahu told them that the Gantz-headed Justice Department is responsible for deaths during the Covid 19 epidemic holiday. He then asked them to go to the Ministry of Justice building to protest and seek redress.

The Israeli Minister of War then wrote to Netanyahu on his Twitter page: If we see here like the United States and protesters attacked government offices here, than you will be responsible for the bloodshed. “Whenever you want to damage the judiciary, I will stand against you.”

Following Gantz’s remarks, Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition parties in the Israeli Knesset (Knesset), announced his intention to remove Netanyahu from the post of Prime Minister.
