France and Saudi Arabia emphasize structural reforms in Lebanon

Pak Sahafat – The French president and the Saudi crown prince stressed the need for structural reforms in Lebanon in a telephone conversation, news sources reported Saturday morning.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Russia Today, The Elysee Palace said in a statement that Emmanuel Macron and Mohammed bin Salman stressed in a telephone conversation the need for structural reforms needed to improve Lebanon.

However, experts believe that the actions of Western countries and their interventions are causing the current situation in Lebanon.

According to the report, the French president and the Saudi crown prince reiterated their desire to continue coordination to support Lebanon.

The French president also stressed the need to continue efforts to reduce tensions in the region and the continuation of the “Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership” held under the auspices of Paris in August 2021.

The two sides also discussed the effects of the global crisis on the Ukraine crisis, as well as the imbalances in energy markets and possible measures to ensure energy supply for all and curb rising global prices.

The Elysee Palace statement also said that the French Crown Prince and President stressed their desire to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
