The US Federal Police have obtained documents showing that the January 6 attack on the Congress building was the result of an organized conspiracy to annul the election results.
According to Reuters, four current and former US security sources have said that the FBI has obtained conclusive evidence that the January 6 attack on the US Congress was the result of an organized conspiracy to overturn the results of the controversial November 2020 election.
Although federal authorities have so far arrested more than 570 people for taking part in the deadly offensive, the FBI still believes that the violence was not orchestrated by far-right groups and supporters of Donald Trump.
Informed sources added: FBI investigators concluded that the protesters intended to infiltrate the congressional building, but there was no evidence that the protesters had any serious plans for their possible actions after entering the congressional building.
Senior U.S. officials have been briefed on details of the FBI investigation. The US House of Representatives has also launched an extensive investigation into the deadly incident and is seeking to determine who designed and carried out the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
Five people were killed and more than 100 police officers were injured in the incident. This is the most violent attack on the US Capitol since 1812.
