Extreme inflation in England / people switched to eating animal food

Pak Sahafat – The economic situation of the British society has become so disordered that many people in this country have turned to eating animal food due to the crisis of the sharp increase in living expenses.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from the Independent magazine, official statistics in England show that the inflation rate has reached the highest level in the last 41 years.

At the same time, economic experts warn of further worsening of the people’s situation in the future and warn that the increase in food prices on the one hand and the increase in the price of energy carriers on the other hand are the most important causes of this crisis.

In just one month, the price of butter, milk, meat, bread and even cheese has increased by 42%, which is unprecedented in the past 20 years.

British National Bureau of Statistics has announced that households in this country pay 88% more for heating and lighting their homes than last year.

Earlier, the Guardian English newspaper also wrote in a report about the food inflation rate in the Eurozone: Currently, the trend of food price growth continues in other European countries. The European Statistics Office announced the food inflation rate in the Eurozone during November 2022 at 13.6%. This figure has increased by 0.5% compared to the previous month.

Food inflation in this region has had a significant jump over the past year. In November of last year, the food inflation rate in the Eurozone was only 2.2%, and the food inflation rate of 13.6% in November this year is more than 6 times the inflation rate of November last year.

The total inflation of the Eurozone in November this year was announced at 10%, which, although it has decreased compared to the previous month, it still remains in double digits. Out of the 19 members of the Eurozone, 11 countries had double-digit inflation in November. Latvia has the highest inflation rate among the members of this region with 21.7% inflation and Spain has the lowest inflation rate with 6.6% inflation.
