European Union’s decision to resume financial aid to Palestinian institutions

Pak Sahafat – The European Union decided to withdraw financial aid to 6 Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that were accused by the Zionist intelligence agencies last year of having connections with Palestinian groups.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from the France Info website; Most of the member states of the European Union, including France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Spain and Sweden, are among the countries that voted in favor of this decision, and only Hungary voted against it.

However, the European Union Commission has not yet announced the resumption of aid despite this vote, and only an official statement from this organization has asked Palestinian NGOs to count on its financial assistance for their programs.

The European Union, which is considered to be the most important donor to the Palestinians, provided 215 million euros since 6 months ago, following the efforts of the Hungarian Commissioner of this organization, Oliver Varhlie, to gain support in order to force the Palestinian Authority to remove anti-Israeli texts and contents from the book.

Since last October, the Zionist regime has launched a campaign against 6 Palestinian non-governmental organizations, such as the Palestinian Women’s Union, the Union of Agricultural Committees, Al-Haq for Human Rights and the International Movement for the Defense of Palestinian Children, accusing them of being associated with the leftist group of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

So far, 44 Palestinians, including 15 children, have died and 360 others have been injured since the start of the regime’s all-out attacks on the Gaza Strip on Friday evening.

Following the defense of the resistance groups against these attacks, the Zionist regime was finally forced to accept a ceasefire. This truce will be implemented after 58 Zionist settlements from inside the Gaza Strip were targeted by rocket attacks by the Palestinian resistance forces.

Among the martyrs, the name of Tissir al-Jabari, one of the senior commanders of the Quds battalions, is also seen, and this caused the attacks of the Palestinian groups to be more intense.
