Pak Sahafat – British Deputy Foreign Minister met with the ambassador of the Palestinian Authority following the conclusion of the free trade agreement between London and Tel Aviv and tried to appease the Palestinian side by repeating London’s passive stance on opposing the illegal actions of the Zionist regime in the West Bank.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, “Tareq Ahmed”, the deputy of the South Asia, Middle East and North Africa area of ​​the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, published a message on Twitter on Friday, announcing the meeting with “Hossam Zamlat”, the highest Palestinian diplomat in London, and wrote that In this meeting, “I emphasized Britain’s commitment to the solution of the formation of two states (Palestine and the Zionist regime) within the framework of the 1967 borders (occupied territories).
Repeating London’s passive stance towards the illegal actions and barbaric crimes of the Zionist regime, he said: “We are against unilateral moves that undermine progress in this field, including the expansion of Israeli settlements, which are illegal under international law.”
This is while last week, in the midst of the political crisis in occupied Palestine and international criticism of the barbaric crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the West Bank, Britain signed an agreement document that will develop bilateral relations with the Zionist regime in all dimensions.
This document defines the roadmap of bilateral relations between the two sides until 2030. The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom states: The 2030 Roadmap for Israel-UK bilateral relations is an ambitious agreement that ensures the partnership continues to innovate to address shared challenges.

The aforementioned roadmap includes detailed commitments to deepen cooperation in the development of Israeli-British regime relations, including in the fields of trade, cyber activities, science and technology, research and development, security, health and climate.
Based on this, the Palestinian Authority called its ambassador from London to consult and discuss the steps that Palestine can take in response to this commercial document that “has serious consequences for the rights of Palestinians”.
The Palestinian representative office in London wrote in a statement that the country “seeks urgent clarification from the British government on its position towards Palestine and whether it still supports international laws and resolutions.”
Hossam Zamlat had previously said in response to the trade agreement document between Britain and the Zionist regime that London’s action shows “abandonment of this country’s responsibilities based on international laws and its historical and unique duty towards Palestine”.
A number of moderate publications and human rights activists in England also described the time of signing this agreement as controversial and disappointing.
