Death of Queen Elizabeth II; A major political crisis for the British ruling class

Pak Sahafat – In a note, the website of the World Socialism Society has analyzed the effects and consequences of the death of the Queen of England on the current and future political situation of the British society and the new challenges that the current rulers of this country should be concerned about.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, the website of the World Socialist Community writes in this note: Queen Elizabeth II has died at the age of 96 after seven decades on the throne as the highest official of the British peninsula. His death came during a period of acute economic, social and political crisis for British imperialism, including the deepest collapse in living standards since the Great Depression, NATO’s proxy war against Russia in mainland Europe and a rising tide of class struggle. Issues that analysts predict may lead to a general strike.

The British ruling class, which has always promoted the mythical plan of national unity and suppression of social conflicts, is now facing a perfect storm.

Queen Elizabeth II, in her role as head of state, met a total of 15 British prime ministers during her lifetime. The latest was the appointment of Liz Truss as Prime Minister just two days before his death.

Upon his death, the crown passed to his son Charles III. At the age of 73, he is the oldest person who has ever been the king of England, and he does not have the support and base of the people. With his election, there is no longer any way to hide the deep and irreconcilable social and political divides that are the reality of life in Britain and around the world.

British journalist and author Martin Kettle wrote in the Guardian: “Don’t underestimate the turmoil in British life. Elizabeth II spent 70 years as a low-profile but highly effective unifying force in a country that was clearly falling apart. His passing unleashes a force that his heirs cannot imagine being able to replicate. On its way, this succession will be one of the greatest tests to be faced by modern Britain.”

The Financial Times also stated: A monarch whose queen succeeds him faces far bigger questions than his own institution. Britain has lost its might and is now scrambling to determine its place in the world for decades to come. Many other institutions of the British government appear outdated or damaged, and the survival of the 315-year-old imperial empire is no longer guaranteed.

Today, however, the earnest hope of the ruling class is that Charles’s time on the throne will be short, so that the carefully groomed and groomed Prince William will have a chance to restore the public status of a much-discredited monarchy.

To facilitate this transition, the events following the Queen’s death have been carefully planned.

The precipitous decline of the monarchy that began in the 1990s is just one indication of how all the political tools of English rule have become ineffective as the war against Russia spirals out of control.

Whatever the immediate effect of the death of the Queen of England, a decisive conflict between the working class and the British ruling class is inevitably likely in the near future.
