Da Silva: We will strongly defend the rights of the Palestinian people

Pak Sahafat – Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, the president of Brazil, announced that his country will strongly support and support the Palestinians and will work to regain the freedom and independence of Palestine as an independent and sovereign country within the borders of 1967.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from the Palestinian “Sama” news agency, Da Silva said these words in a meeting with Riyad al-Maliki, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian Authority and the special envoy of Mahmoud Abbas to his presidential inauguration ceremony.

The President of the Republic of Brazil once again emphasized his country’s principled commitment to support the cause of the Palestinian nation and said that Brasilia will support the efforts of the Palestinian state in all international arenas.

He once again said that Brazil’s firm commitment is to support the rights of the Palestinian people and that his country will continue to be a supporter of Palestine.

This veteran Brazilian politician was the president of this country from 2003 to 2010.

Political analysts say that Lula’s presidency is unlikely to be like his two previous terms. His tenure of this term takes place after the most intensive presidential race in Brazil in more than three decades and the resistance of some of his opponents against his assumption of office.

This left-wing politician defeated Brazil’s far-right representative Bolsonaro in the November 8 vote with a margin of less than 2 percent.
