Corona in America; The situation got out of control again

“The Corona epidemic is out of control in the United States because a large part of the population has not yet been vaccinated,” a former US medical official told CBS News.

Admiral Dr. Jerome Adams, a former U.S. health official, said Sunday that the Corona virus epidemic in the United States is “out of control again” because so many people have not yet been vaccinated.

In an interview with CBS News, Adams urged those who have not yet received the Corona virus vaccine to do so, as the highly contagious delta strain first identified in India continues throughout the United States.

The former senior federal official added: “While the number of people who continue to refuse to be vaccinated is high, the situation is getting worse by reducing restrictions and not wearing masks in public places and reopening schools. At the same time, the disease is out of control again because we have not vaccinated enough people in the community.”

He emphasized: “Reports indicate that the incidence of corona virus has increased in all 50 states of the United States, and the number of hospitalizations and deaths is on the rise, as the delta strain now accounts for more than 83% of the predominant strain of the corona virus in the country.” The delta strain is said to pose a risk of hospitalization and death, especially for people who have not been vaccinated.

Following the resurgence of the disease in the United States, some state officials have decided to make the use of masks mandatory in public again. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has made the use of the mask mandatory only for those who have not been vaccinated.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, less than 50 percent of the US population has been fully vaccinated so far, and 57.3 percent of people over the age of 12 have received both doses of the vaccine.

The United States has the highest rate of corona virus and death in the world, with more than 35 million infected and 626,000 dead since the start of the corona virus epidemic.
