Continue protesting Macron’s policies; Students also come to the street

Pak Sahafat – The unstoppable process of protests and demonstrations against French President Emmanuel Macron’s policies continue (Thursday) with the gathering of medical students and interns (interns) and professional high schools.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, citing Le Figaro newspaper website, interns and medical students in France are protesting the addition of the fourth year of internship in general medicine.

This new policy is to be pursued as a necessary priority in areas where the population of doctors is less.

According to this report, medical students and interns were called to demonstrations and strikes against the said policy with the slogan “No to force” and “Stop humiliation”.

In this framework, a national march is planned in Paris and several demonstrations in other regions of France, especially in Lyon and Nantes.

Expanding the scope of protests and strikes in France

Le Figaro reminds that a similar rally took place on October 14 with the presence of more than 10,000 demonstrators and 40% nerves in this area.

Raphaël Presneau, head of French General Medical Interns (Isnar-IMG), told AFP: These are demagogic measures and ineffective in terms of access to medical care. GPs currently have the best distribution conditions in the territory.

Yaël Thoma, head of the National Association of French Medical Students (ANEMF) also emphasizes: creating a fourth year of training for general medical interns is pointless due to the lack of supervisors and intern teachers.
