British Defense Minister claimed: 220,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded in Ukraine

Pak Sahafat – British Defense Minister Ben Wallace claimed that the latest US assessments show that more than 220,000 Russian soldiers and military personnel have been killed or wounded in Ukraine.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, Wallace said in an interview with Sky News on Wednesday that Russian forces are currently “advancing almost nowhere” and “suffering heavy casualties.”

British Defense Minister added: Russian forces have deep systemic problems. The latest American assessments, which I have also seen, put the number of Russian dead and wounded at more than 220,000.

The data published by the British intelligence agencies in February showed that the number of casualties of the Russian forces and military boycotters since the beginning of the war in Ukraine was between 175,000 and 200,000.

This report estimated the possible death toll at 40,000 to 60,000.

Ukrainian forces have been trying to repel the attacks of the Russian army and the Wagner militia group in the city of Bakhmut for months.

Reports indicate that intense fighting is going on in Bakhmut and both sides have suffered heavy casualties.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian military commanders have announced that they are preparing for a new round against Russian positions in eastern and southern Ukraine.
