British court: The ruler of Dubai has spied on his ex-wife with Israeli software

The British Supreme Court has ruled that the ruler of Dubai has issued orders to spy on his ex-wife and his lawyers’ team as part of a “campaign of constant intimidation and threats” during his legal battle to take custody of his two children.

According to the Pak Sahafat news agency quoted by London newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi: Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, has used the Pegasus program owned by Israel’s UNHCR to hack into the cell phones of Haya bin Al-Hussein, the half-sister of King Abdullah II of Jordan, and cell phones of some relatives, including his lawyers.

Meanwhile, the ruler of Dubai denied the results of this trial and announced in a statement: We constantly deny these claims and continue to deny them, and these results are based on incomplete information.

Muhammad bin Rashid said: Neither the Emirate of Dubai nor the UAE are parties to these measures, they have not participated in the court hearing, and as a result the court results are not complete at all.

The ruler of Dubai added: In addition, the conclusions reached by the court are based on reasons that have not been disclosed to me and my advisers, so I insist that these findings have been unfair.

He also clarified: It is not appropriate for me, as Prime Minister, to present evidence in sensitive personal matters or through my advisers in a foreign court.
