Britain: We will be ready for a drone strike on Afghanistan

The Britain Secretary of Defense, despite implicitly acknowledging the West’s failure to fight terrorism, claimed that if the Taliban did not keep its promises; the new British UAV fleet is capable of attacking targets on Afghan soil.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace claimed in an interview with Sky News that, the number of suspected terrorists has increased in the 20 years since the 9/11 attacks, and the terrorist threat has now become a much more global phenomenon.

Wallace, on the other hand, claimed that if the Taliban failed to live up to its promise to prevent Afghanistan from becoming a haven for ISIS and al-Qaeda; Britain is ready to target targets in Afghanistan, relying on a new fleet of armed drones.

Referring to the increase in terrorist threats in Africa, the British Defense Secretary added: This is part of the spread of technology and the transfer of knowledge over the Internet, which not only inspires some people to do terrible things, but also teaches them how to do them.

He also responded to the question of whether terrorist threats have increased as a result of the withdrawal of the United States and NATO from Afghanistan; Claimed: I think the global terrorist threat has increased while it is not as centralized as it was then (9/11).

Wallace added: Of course, I do not think these threats are greater than in the past, but I believe that the number of people who may cross this red line and resort to violence is greater than in the past.

This claim comes at a time when the United States and NATO partners have focused their approach on the fight against terrorism for the past two decades, and the invasion of Afghanistan was basically carried out under the same pretext. On this account, Wallace’s remarks could be a tacit acknowledgment of the failure of Washington and its allies to achieve this alleged goal.
