Biden emphasizes Trump’s trial in Senate

Presenting the case of Donald Trump’s impeachment to the Senate for the second time for his trial, US President Joe Biden stressed in a new statement that the impeachment trial in the Senate should be held and Trump should be tried.

CNN reported that in a brief interview with Biden, Biden told the news network that a trial should take place.

According to the report, during a press conference at the White House, Biden told the reporter of this news network that, of course, Trump’s court can influence the legal agendas and the approval of his members of government, which should be considered in the Senate.

“I think this trial should take place, but if it does not, it will have a negative impact,” Biden said.

This is the fourth trial of a US president in its history and the first time a US president has been interrogated twice.

Biden, who for the first time since entering the White House commented on the impeachment and trial of his predecessor, added: I do not think the 17 Republicans in the Senate will vote to condemn Trump, the Senate has changed since I was in it, but I do not think it has changed much.

The case of the impeachment of former US President Donald Trump has been sent to this parliament for consideration in the Senate court.

Members of the House of Representatives, who are elected by the US House of Representatives, sent Trump’s impeachment case to the Senate on Monday evening on charges of “inciting riots” to be heard in the trial, which is scheduled to begin on February 11.

After the case reached the Senate, Jimmy Ruskin, the head of the House impeachment team, read out Trump’s indictment.

The U.S. House of Representatives went to the polls on January 25, after a five-hour debate, to vote on Trump’s second impeachment in four years, with 232 in favor and 197 against.

Ten Republicans also voted in favor of Trump’s impeachment. Five deputies also refused to vote.

Trump’s impeachment was on the agenda of a predominantly Democratic House of Representatives after the January 17 riots and the attack on the US Capitol that killed six people and injured scores more.

Trump was impeached in December 2019 before being charged with “abuse of power” and “sabotage of Congress,” and his impeachment hearing and trial in the US Senate lasted until February 2020.

He was acquitted by 53 votes to 47 in the Senate.
