Biden also declared a state of emergency in Tennessee and Illinois

The President of the United States declared a state of emergency in the states of “Tennessee” and “Illinois” following the severe tornadoes and storms in several states of this country that caused massive destruction and killed dozens of people.

According to the Pak Sahafat news agency, quoted by Sputnik, US President Joe Biden also declared a state of emergency in the states of Tennessee and Illinois in a statement after the state of Kentucky declared a state of emergency following a tornado.

The relevant official statement states: The Federal Crisis Management Agency (FEMA) is authorized to identify, prepare and provide the necessary equipment and resources to mitigate the effects of emergencies.

The president had previously signed the declaration of the disaster area to provide special funding to the state, saying that the tornadoes in Kentucky were one of the largest tornadoes in US history.

Earlier, Kentucky Governor Andy Bashir announced that the death toll from tornadoes and hurricanes in the state had risen to 80.

He had previously said that the number of victims could increase to more than 100.

At least four severe tornadoes have devastated the state. Only one severe tornado traveled about 320 kilometers on Earth alone, destroying everything in its path.

A devastating tornado in Arkansas and Illinois also killed and injured at least seven people and trapped dozens of others under rubble caused by the destruction of buildings and warehouses by the tornado, which killed six employees. Amazon lost its life due to the collapse of the warehouse.

Winter storm warnings have also been issued for the Midwestern and Great Lakes states, with heavy snowfall in Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska and Nebraska. “Iowa”, “Minnesota” and “Wisconsin” will rain.
