Bahraini clerics have issued a statement condemning the US action to include the name of Astan Quds Razavi (AS) in the sanctions list.
In a statement, the Bahraini Ulema Association condemned the US action in boycotting Astan Quds Razavi (AS), calling it a provocative and unprecedented move.
The statement said: “This is an unprecedented and provocative act to hurt the feelings of millions of Shiite Muslims, especially the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (as) around the world, as well as shamelessly violate international resolutions regarding respect for sacred things, figures and religious symbols.”
Bahraini scholars also stressed that this insane and bullying act of the US government will only intensify the anger of the nations of the region and oppose the US terrorist arrogance.
The US Treasury Department on Wednesday placed the name of Astan Quds Razavi (AS) and its patron, as well as the name of “Abu Fadak Al-Muhammadavi”, the deputy head of the Al-Hashd al-Shabi organization, on its sanctions list.
