America’s dual approaches and not inviting 4 African countries to the African Summit

Pak Sahafat – The Biden government has not invited 4 African countries to the US-Africa Summit which is scheduled to be held next month (December) in Washington.

Robert Scott, US Deputy Secretary of State for African Affairs, told reporters that Mali, Burkina Faso, Sudan, and Guinea have not been invited to the US-Africa summit that will be held in Washington on December 13-15, 2022.

The US official added that 45 of the 50 African leaders invited will participate in the summit.

It is expected that an economic meeting will be held on the sidelines of this summit, in addition to evaluating political issues, food crisis and climate change, security issues and the war between Ukraine and Russia will be discussed.

The US did not invite the leaders of Eritrea, Sudan, Zimbabwe and the Central African Republic to the 2014 meeting.

Dana Banks, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Adviser of the National Security Council in the US-Africa Summit, had previously announced: US President Joe Biden, the heads of 49 African countries and the African Union to the US-Africa Summit next month. (December) will be held in Washington, has invited.

He told reporters: Biden has invited the heads of 49 African countries and the African Union to Washington for a three-day meeting to show the strengthening relations and cooperation between the United States and African countries to advance common priorities.

According to him, during the three days of this meeting from December 13 to 15, the participants will discuss a wide range of global and bilateral issues including economy, security, climate change and health.

A new survey by the British Institute of Yoga and Cambridge, which was conducted in August and September (July-September) among thousands of people in 25 countries and 3 large African countries including Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa also participated in it, shows the positive view of public opinion.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, according to the English Yugao survey, China is the largest trading partner of the African continent and is considered a positive force in the countries of the Black Continent. In South Africa, 61% of the respondents to the Yugo survey registered China as the most influential country in the world. This is while the poll in Kenya has been reported with the most support of China at 82%, and the respondents of Nigeria are higher than the two mentioned countries, considering the influence of China at 83%.

In addition, African countries blamed America for providing weapons of war to other countries in civil wars, as well as interfering in the internal affairs of countries and cyberattacks and espionage.
