Al-Saud worries over US report on Khashgechi assassination

Saudi Arabia is anxiously awaiting a White House report on the involvement of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the assassination of Jamal Khashgechi, as proving that it would mean the end of bin Salman’s political life.

Former United States President Donald Trump kept the report confidential, which is why many human rights organizations, such as Amnesty International, described it as a cover-up of a horrific crime.

Meanwhile, the new US administration believes that Bin Salman, on the one hand, ordered Khashgechi’s assassination and, on the other hand, challenged the world by holding a formal trial and prevented the main perpetrators of this crime, such as Saud al-Qahtani, from escaping a real trial.

If US courts order Bin Salman arrested, he will face the same fate as former Panamanian President Noriega, who will not be allowed to travel abroad and will not be hosted by either side.

American politicians believe that Biden is trying to force Bin Salman to step down and prevent his reign because he knows that the Saudi Crown Prince is an adventurous person and will lead the Middle East region to more tensions.
