Ahmad Massoud: America’s approach towards Afghanistan is ambiguous

Pak Sahafat – Ahmad Masoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, has said that Washington’s policy towards Afghanistan is not only unclear, but the continuation of this ambiguous approach and the tactical plans of the United States can cost both the people of Afghanistan and the United States.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Sunday, Ahmad Massoud recently said in an interview with the Dari section of “Voice of America”: As long as the Taliban continues with its “tyranny, oppression, tyranny and ignorance”, we have no choice but to use the military method and defend ourselves, but if the Taliban is ready to accept a reasonable and logical way, the National Resistance Front is ready to negotiate and talk.

The Dari section of the Voice of America website pointing out that after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, the resistance front led by Ahmad Masoud continued to resist the Taliban in several parts of the provinces, especially Panjshir, Baghlan and Takhar, but the resistance front has so far managed to expand the geographical area under controlled himself, quoting Ahmad Massoud, wrote: Currently, the expansion of geography is not in the resistance front’s strategy.

Massoud said: Taking geography at this stage and taking the centers of districts and maybe provinces is within our power, but it is not our strategy. According to him, the resistance front currently does not have the facilities to maintain them.

Ahmad Massoud told Voice of America that they are currently working on increasing the capacity and support of the resistance, adding that “at the same time, we are also trying to find a political solution.”

Ahmad Massoud has also said that “we found that the Taliban have not changed anything, but they still emphasize their policy of one-sidedness, stonewalling and autocratic policy.”
