Afghanistan Rescue Movement: We do not even need a foreign military

The leader of the Salvation Party of Afghanistan stressed the withdrawal of all foreign troops from the country and said that some are distributing weapons and demilitarizing in Afghanistan.

Omar Zakhilwal, leader of the Movement for the Salvation of Afghanistan, said the party would work to end Afghanistan’s problems and stressed that the country did not need the presence of “even a single foreign military“.

He said at the announcement of the party’s existence: We want peace, a peace that strengthens national unity, not a repetition of the bitter experiences of the past.

The former Afghan ambassador to Islamabad also expressed concern over the situation in the country and said that some factions were preparing for a worse situation in Afghanistan.

Without naming specific groups or individuals, Zakhilwal added that some factions were distributing weapons and demilitarizing.

He added: All the people of Afghanistan want peace; we are working to make the movement to save Afghanistan an element to get out of the crisis and a factor for lasting political stability and peace.

Zakhiwal also stressed: As important and valuable as peace is, national unity and our national sovereignty are also important and valuable. Peace must be a factor of progress and development. Peace based on elimination, monopoly and deprivation is not lasting, but a temporary peace.
