A woman with gun got arrested near the White House

Police in the US capital, Washington, have arrested a 66-year-old woman for allegedly carrying a firearm, allegedly carrying a letter to the president.

The media reported the arrest of a woman carrying arm near the White House and announced that the US National Guard troops would continue to be present in the US capital until at least the fall of 2021.

A 66-year-old American woman who claimed to be carrying a letter to US President Joe Biden has been arrested near the White House, Western media reported, including the Daily Mail.

The woman was arrested for illegally carrying an unlicensed weapon at a restaurant near the White House, Washington DC police said, according to Sputnik.

The woman’s arrest comes amid tight security in the US capital since the deadly attack on Congress on January 6 by supporters of Donald Trump, and according to Western media reports, the National Guard is likely to fall by the fall.

The woman, who was arrested near the White House, reportedly told police before his arrest that he had a letter to US President Joe Biden.

The media did not release further details about the name of the American gunman, and the capital’s police department only confirmed the arrest of the gunman for possessing an unlicensed weapon.

In recent days, security measures have been tightened in Washington, DC, following the impeachment of former President Donald Trump for inciting his supporters to attack Congress, which left at least five people dead.
