A US convoy is targeted in southeastern Iraq

Iraqi sources report that a US military logistics convoy has been targeted in southeastern Iraq.

Iraqi sources reported today (Friday) that a US military convoy was targeted in the southeastern city of Al-Nasiriyah.

The Saberin News Telegram Channel reported that at least three people were injured in the attack, noting that the convoy was carrying 18 containers.

The report further states that the convoy was targeted near the Sabah oil field on the international road in the city of Souq al-Sheikh.

Saberin News also wrote that one car was targeted in the attack and five containers were completely destroyed.

Iraqi sources also reported yesterday that two US convoys had been targeted.

The convoys, which carry logistics equipment for US troops stationed at bases, enter Iraq mainly from the Syrian border in the west or the Kuwaiti border in the south, and have been targeted by roadside bombs on a weekly or even daily basis in recent months.

Iraqi sources also reported yesterday that two US convoys had been targeted.

Iraqi groups have previously said that the deadline for Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi’s government to withdraw US troops has expired.

The report further states that the convoy was targeted near the Sabah oil field on the international road in the city of Souq al-Sheikh.
