46 Republican senators warn against opposing US government debt ceiling

Forty-six Republican senators have warned they will oppose any increase in government debt.

According to the Congressional Information Service while Republicans have put a lot of pressure on Democrats to increase government borrowing limits, 46 Republican senators have warned they oppose any attempt to raise the government debt ceiling.

According to the report, all but four Republican senators in the US Senate have signed a letter warning that they will not support raising the government debt ceiling.

The letter states: We Republican senators want to inform the public and Senate Democrats that we will not vote on a plan to raise the federal debt ceiling. This is a problem that has been created by increasing the costs of a democratic government. Democrats must take personal responsibility for this crisis.

With that move by Republicans, Democratic senators will now face a serious challenge to finally pass a bill to increase the government debt ceiling because they need at least 10 Republican senators to vote.

Congress has already approved a plan to increase the government debt ceiling for 2 years in 2019.

According to the report, all but four Republican senators in the US Senate have signed a letter warning that they will not support raising the government debt ceiling.

The letter from the Senate Republicans comes as Democrats prepare to pass a $ 3.5 trillion package to develop economic and development infrastructure.
