2024 USA Marathon; All Republican against one

Pak Sahafat – For any Republican presidential candidate whose name is not “Donald Trump”, holding the first primary debate on August 23 in Milwaukee is a big challenge.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, this is the first election debate and for many candidates it is perhaps the only opportunity to make their voice heard by the American people. It remains to be seen whether Trump will appear in this debate, which will be broadcast on Fox News.

The CNN news channel affiliated with the Democrats says: Many Republican candidates have come up with creative ideas and are playing with campaign finance rules.

The Republican National Committee has established minimum financial requirements to participate in the election debates, which many candidates have difficulty meeting.

Some lesser-known candidates have tried some really unconventional ways to qualify for the first round of the Republican debate in August. They need to raise money from at least 40,000 different sponsors.

In his election campaign, Francis Suarez, the mayor of Miami, asked his supporters to donate one dollar each to his campaign, and in return, he promised to provide $15,000 in university scholarships to the winner of a lottery.

One of the more unusual tactics seems to be paying off now. North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who is funding his presidential campaign, has offered 50,000 people $20 gift cards for donations of at least $1.

These methods have raised many questions. For example, Borgham’s campaign team insists that it followed the rules and that its approach was legally sound.

Several Republicans, from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to Chris Christie to former New Jersey Gov. Ramaswamy, have announced they have met donor requirements.

But there are other obstacles. Candidates must reach at least 1 percent support in three national polls or at least two national polls and two individual state polls to qualify for the primary ballot.

The former US president, who is leading in the current polls, seems reluctant to participate in next month’s debate. However, Trump has announced that he has not made his decision. Trump told Fox News about the debate last week: “When you’re ahead of everyone else, you don’t participate in this debate.”

Mike Pence, who raised about $1.2 million in donations in the second quarter, is certainly struggling as a former vice president. Given that his former boss-turned-foe Trump looms large over Pence’s base, it’s no wonder he’s having trouble attracting financial support.

Newer GOP candidates like Hutchinson and Will Hurd still seem to have a long way to go in terms of campaign finance.

But about DeSantis, it should be said that he is second in the polls after Trump and has collected $20 million in donations this quarter. But about $3 million of that is for the general election, which cannot be used for the primary debate.

It is said that he quickly spent the collected aid and spent 40% of the money in the first few weeks of his election campaign. DeSantis’ campaign team has also had to lay off about 10 employees to cut costs.

Former US President Donald Trump has business interests that span the globe and include golf courses and commercial licensing.

According to CNN, Trump and his wife Melania recently announced that they have earned about $1 billion since leaving the White House.

Investigations have shown that Trump’s campaign team used his recent criminal controversies and managed to get more financial support.

According to the announcement of Joe Biden’s election team, he has so far managed to collect about 72 million dollars for the first quarter of this year, which, although it is an acceptable amount, is less than the financial aid collected by the former US President Barack Obama.
