Pak Sahafat – The prime minister of the coalition government of Pakistan is visiting China, while his government is still facing political turmoil and economic crisis inside, and efforts are being made on the front of foreign policy with the aim of winning the trust of strong partners like Beijing to curb the challenges, including the restoration of livelihoods.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Tuesday from Pakistan’s official sources, Shahbaz Sharif left Islamabad for Beijing at the head of a high-ranking political-economic delegation. This is the first official visit of the prime minister of the coalition government of Pakistan to China. The 2-day visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan is done at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart.

Shahbaz Sharif will be one of the first foreign leaders to visit this country only a week after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. During the recent meeting of the Communist Party of China, the president of this country, Xi Jinping, in a historic and unprecedented event, was elected for the third consecutive term as the general secretary of this party as the ruling party of China.

Before leaving Islamabad, he announced: The world is facing many challenges and in such a situation, Pakistan and China strengthen their strategic relations together.

Shahbaz Sharif added that Pakistan wants constructive interaction and cooperation with all its neighbors.

According to this report, the Prime Minister of Pakistan is going to hold bilateral meetings with the President and the Prime Minister of China, the main agenda of which will be the promotion of common goals, including strategic and economic partnership between the two countries.

This trip is carried out while the coalition government of Pakistan is still facing a political crisis inside, such as the continuation of protests by the opposition faction, and on the other hand, the country’s economy is not in a good state, and the livelihood of Pakistan has been severely affected by the devastating flood, and the government officials of this country have damage caused by the flood is estimated at 40 billion dollars.

The English language newspaper Express Tribune wrote: Pakistan’s 6.3 billion dollar debt to China is due in the middle of next year, but the government of Islamabad is trying to get a deadline from China to repay this loan due to the dire economic situation and the decrease in foreign exchange reserves.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan issued a statement today and announced: During this trip, several memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements between Pakistan and China will be signed, including the acceleration of the CPAK economic plan.

Simultaneously with the visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the cabinet of this country approved the security agreement with China to strengthen the security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan. Pakistan has formed a special battalion that includes 28,000 special forces to protect Chinese nationals.
