The heads of the Senate of Pakistan and Russia emphasized on joint cooperation for the peace of Afghanistan

Pak Sahafat – In an official meeting in Moscow, the Speaker of the Senate of Pakistan and his Russian counterpart emphasized the importance of the relations between the two countries in dealing with emerging challenges and emphasized joint cooperation to help peace in Afghanistan.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from the public relations of the Pakistan Parliament in Islamabad, “Mohammed Sadegh Sanjrani” who is at the head of a high-ranking political-parliamentary delegation and at the invitation of the Chairman of the Federation Council (Senate) of Russia met with his Russian counterpart.

Sanjrani and Mrs. “Valentina Matvinko” emphasized the importance of interactions between Pakistan and Russia and called for increasing bilateral cooperation in regional and international forums.

By reviewing the latest developments related to the region, the parties emphasized that Islamabad and Moscow are determined to cooperate closely for a peaceful, prosperous and secure Afghanistan.

Relations between Pakistan and Russia have grown significantly in recent years despite the obstruction of the West and stonewalling by the United States, and these two countries have continued to strengthen joint cooperation in various situations, including the change of governments, the relationship between the heads of Russia and Pakistan after the formation of the new government in Islamabad.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made an official visit to Moscow in early February last year.

Pakistan and Russia, which are known as old enemies and today’s friends, have taken many steps to expand military-defense cooperation in recent years while deepening parliamentary, political and economic relations.

Both countries support each other’s regional and international positions, and on many fronts, Islamabad has opposed any Western pressure against Moscow or joining any sanctions campaign against the Russian Federation.
