Sources : Governor’s rule in Sindh: Interior ministry preparing summary,

“No other solution other than imposing governor’s rule in Sindh,” Rasheed says.
Sheikh Rasheed advises PM Imran Khan to impose governor’s rule in Sindh.
He says, what’s happening in Sindh House is a conspiracy against democracy.

The government has started work on a summary about the imposition of the governor’s rule in Sindh and an important meeting will be held today (Friday) with Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed in the chair to review the latest situation in this regard,  News reported, citing sources.

The development came after several PTI lawmakers came out in the open, saying they would vote against PM Imran Khan in the no-trust motion. PTI MNA Raja Riaz had Thursday claimed that 24 disgruntled members are staying at the Sindh House for their safety.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had said Wednesday that “people are sitting in Islamabad’s Sindh house with bags full of money to buy the conscience of lawmakers.”

In the counter move, to stop “horsetrading”, the interior minister recommended the premier to impose governor’s rule.

“No other solution other than imposing governor’s rule in Sindh as PPP’s government is openly violating the constitution by doing horsetrading,” Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed tweeted.

According to the sources, in view of the current political situation interior ministry has called the today. As per sources, before chairing the meeting, Rasheed will also discuss the move with PM Imran Khan.

During the meeting — at the interior ministry — the situation in Sindh will be reviewed and a summary base on the worsening law and order situation in the province will be prepared, said the sources.

Speaking on Geo News’ Programme “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath”, Rasheed Thursday said that he has advised PM Imran Khan to impose governor’s rule in Sindh under articles 232 and 237 of the Constitution.

“We will hold a meeting on this issue tomorrow and a press conference as well”, he said.

“Vote of no-confidence is their [Opposition’s] right but calling police force from Sindh and deploying in the capital, with keeping MNA’s in custody is not democracy,” he added.

He said that the no-trust motion was a conspiracy against democracy, the result of which would come out as “frightful” and the Opposition will have to regret it for the rest of life.

“Therefore, it’s better to impose the governor’s rule in Sindh and allow to vote them in the National Assembly on no-trust motion,” he said.

‘Sindh to retaliate if governor’s rule is imposed’
The Sindh government reacted strongly to the suggestion of Rasheed and warned the Centre from taking any “non-democratic” action.

In a statement, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that people will retaliate against the federal government if any unconstitutional move is made.

“Let me categorically state that any unconstitutional move by the federal government to impose the governor’s rule in Sindh will provoke an unprecedented retaliation from the people of Sindh,” Shah wrote on Twitter.
