Ramadan timings changed for Islamabad schools

Federal Directorate of Education announces updated timings.
Schools running on single shift will be operating from 8am to 12pm.
Timings for double shifts: 8am to 12pm; 8am-12pm, 12:30pm-4:30pm.

ISLAMABAD: Ramadan timings changed for Islamabad schools The Federal Directorate of Education Wednesday announced changing the times of educational institutions in the federal capital, a statement from the government agency said.

Educational institutions running on a single shift will be operating from 8am to 12pm, the statement said.

On the other hand, the institutions that run on double shifts will be operational from 8am to 12pm and 12:30pm to 4:30pm.

Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to meet on April 2 (Saturday) to sight the Ramadan moon, a statement in this regard had said.

The committee’s meeting will be held in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Chairman Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council said the holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin in Pakistan on April 3 (Sunday) this year while Eid-ul-Fitr is expected on May 3.

On the other hand, the institutions that run on double shifts will be operational from 8am to 12pm and 12:30pm to 4:30pm.
