Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Kashif Mehmood’s nomination papers for Punjab Assembly elections from PP-244 Bahawalnagar were accepted on Friday.
Earlier, the Returning Officer (RO) had rejected the nomination papers of Kashif Mehmood after raising objections.
However, an election tribunal allowed Kashif Mehmood to contest the polls after hearing the aspirant’s petition against the rejection of his nomination papers and declared the RO rejection of Kashif Mehmood’s candidacy null and void.
