Imran Khan: Imposing a government by force does not lead to resolving the Afghan conflict
According to the correspondent of Fars News Agency’s regional offices; Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan reaffirmed Islamabad’s continued support for a peaceful, stable and united Afghanistan.

“Pakistan continues to emphasize cooperation in the Afghan peace process with the United States and other countries,” he said in an interview with Zalmai Khalilzad, the US special envoy for Afghanistan.

“Increased conflict and instability in Afghanistan is not in Pakistan’s interest because it will lead to serious security challenges for us and the influx of refugees,” he said.

According to him, only a negotiated agreement will create lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan, and the imposition of a government by force will not lead to a solution to the conflict.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and the need to accelerate the peace process.
