Beijing and Islamabad emphasizing to deal with emerging regional and global challenges

Pak Sahafat – China’s foreign minister, who has traveled to Islamabad to participate in bilateral strategic talks with Pakistan and a joint meeting on Afghanistan, emphasized the need for strong convergence between Pakistan and China to face emerging regional and international challenges.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Pakistan’s national television, “China Gang” traveled to Islamabad this evening to participate in the fourth round of bilateral strategic negotiations with Pakistan and to participate in the tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Pakistan, China and the deputy foreign minister of Afghanistan.

This is Gong’s first visit to Pakistan after being appointed as China’s foreign minister, where he left for the Pakistani capital after attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) foreign ministers’ meeting in India.

Chinese Foreign Minister met with Pakistani President Arif Alavi in ​​Islamabad on Friday night and the two sides discussed the latest developments related to bilateral cooperation, security, defense and economic cooperation in the region, the situation in Afghanistan and international issues.

The Public Relations Office of the President of Pakistan issued a statement and announced: Islamabad and Beijing emphasized their determination to cooperate to promote peace and prosperity in the region as well as to jointly face external challenges.

It is stated in this statement: The two sides emphasized on the need to advance and deepen bilateral cooperation in commercial, economic, cultural and defense fields for the benefit of the two countries, as well as on increasing bilateral exchanges, people-to-people communication and cooperation in cultural and tourism fields to strengthen bilateral relations.

The President of Pakistan said that bilateral cooperation with China is becoming more important due to the new developments that are taking place in the regional and international arenas.

He emphasized: Pakistan is committed to completing the Pakistan-China Joint Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and the development of Gwadar port, which, in addition to strengthening trade and regional communication, plays an important role in promoting bilateral trade.

Alvi said that Pakistan supports China on all major issues including One China policy, Taiwan, Tibet, Xinjiang, Hong Kong and South China Sea.

The Chinese Foreign Minister also said that due to the rapid changes in the world, Pakistan and China need to strengthen and strengthen bilateral cooperation to face emerging regional and international challenges.

He called for cooperation in all areas of interest to the parties, especially in strategically important projects. Saying that Beijing is aware of Pakistan’s economic problems, China Gang said that China’s priority is to help Pakistan.

According to this report, the fourth round of strategic talks between Pakistan and China will be held in Islamabad (Saturday).

The tripartite meeting of Beijing, Islamabad and Kabul will also be held with the presence of the foreign ministers of the three countries, hosted by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Amir Khan Motaghi, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Interim Government of Afghanistan, also arrived in Islamabad at the head of a high-level political-economic delegation this Friday evening.
