Three Zionist spies sentenced to death in Lebanon

A Lebanese military court on Friday night sentenced two Lebanese and a Palestinian to death for complicity in the Israeli intelligence service.

According to Lebanese media, in this trial, which was presided over by Brigadier General Munir Shahadeh, Mahmoud Qassim Rafi, First Deputy Chief of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces, and Ibrahim Mohammed Yassin, a Lebanese citizen, and Hussein Suleiman al-Khattab, a Palestinian citizen living in Lebanon, Were sentenced to death.

Rafi was also sentenced to pay 2 million Lebanese liras and be deprived of all civil rights.

They were also linked to the Zionist regime, participating in the planning and preparation and execution of the assassination of “Ali Hassan Deeb”, the head of Hezbollah near “Sidon” in 1999, by planting an explosive device in the neighborhood of “Taleh al-Mahafiz” and have been sentenced to death for terrorist acts and the transfer of explosives.

Other charges include the 2002 assassination of Palestinian leader Jihad Ahmed Jibril in al-Musaytaba.

Salem Zahran, director of the Center for Media Concentration in Lebanon, tweeted about the sentencing of these people after years: The question that arises is who was responsible for keeping the case of these people silent during these years?

Their case has been open since 2006.
