The Yemeni official’s appreciation for Oman’s efforts in advancing the peace process in Yemen

Pak Sahafat – The head of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen, in a meeting with the head of the “Yemen People’s Congress” party on Sunday night, appreciated Oman’s efforts to advance the peace process in Yemen.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Al-Masira, “Mehdi Al-Mashat”, the head of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen, and “Sadiq Amin Abu Ras”, the deputy head of the Supreme Political Council and the head of the “Yemen People’s Congress” party met and talked.

According to this report, in this meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments and consultations held in Sana’a under the supervision of Oman.

In this meeting, Mehdi Al-Mashat appreciated the role of Oman and the country’s interest in advancing the peace process in Yemen.

Last Tuesday, a delegation from Oman traveled to Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, to meet and discuss the latest developments in the country’s crisis with Sana’a officials.

Omani Foreign Minister: Our goal is to end the war in Yemen

Earlier, “Mohammed Abdussalam”, the head of the Yemeni negotiating team, had positively evaluated the talks with the Omani delegation in Sana’a.

He said: “Discussions were held regarding humanitarian issues; Something that stabilizes the situation of the Yemeni people and sets the stage for a comprehensive and just peace and an end to aggression and siege.

The Omani delegation plays the role of mediator between the National Salvation Government of Yemen and the aggressor Saudi coalition.

From April 6, 2014, Saudi Arabia, in the form of a coalition of several Arab countries including the UAE, and with the help and green light of the United States and the support of the Zionist regime, launched extensive attacks against Yemen – the poorest Arab country.

After 7 years of invading Yemen and killing thousands of people and destroying the country’s infrastructure, these countries not only did not achieve their goals, but they were forced to accept a cease-fire following the missile and drone strikes of the Yemeni armed forces deep into their territory.

The ceasefire in Yemen, which has been repeatedly violated by the aggressor Saudi coalition, was extended once before following UN consultations.
