The possibility of rising gasoline prices in Saudi Arabia has sparked public outrage

The possible increase in fuel prices in Saudi Arabia has angered the people of this country, and at the same time there have been calls for a ban on gasoline on Saturday.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, at the same time as the wave of rising global fuel prices, the Saudi company “Aramco” is scheduled to announce the new price of gasoline and diesel on June 10.

Aramco said in a statement that fuel and energy prices in the country are changing due to changes in the export process to the global market, with the aim of preparing for a rise in fuel prices.

Forecasts of rising fuel prices have become a “Twitter revolution”, with Twitter users calling for sanctions and hashtags such as “boycott petrol on Saturday” and “boycott them to be polite”.

The hashtags call for a ban on fuel purchases on Saturday – tomorrow – in order to pressure the Saudi regime to back down from a possible increase in fuel prices. According to these calls, the purchase of fuel will be banned on Saturdays.

What has angered the Saudis in this regard is the agreement of the oil-producing countries in the Riyadh-led OPEC Plus coalition to increase production.
