Syrian presidential election begins / Significant turnout at the ballot box

The Syrian people went to the polls today to elect their president from among three candidates in presidential election for a new seven-year term.

Polling station doors are open to Syrian voters at 7 am local time and the voting process will continue until 7 pm (7 pm) local time.

290 journalists, including Iran, cover the Syrian elections

Sarah emphasized: The number of reporters covering the Syrian presidential election and coming to Syria is 125 from various countries, including the United States, Russia, Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Denmark, and Austria. In addition, there are 165 journalists based in Syria, covering a total of 290 journalists in the Syrian presidential election.

The Syrian Minister of Information announced: The ministry has provided all logistical services and facilitated the work of Arab and foreign journalists, facilitating their movement and these journalists are expected to act with the utmost professionalism and honesty, and to present a true picture of Syria.

Ballot boxes were opened at 6 a.m. in the presence of members of the Syrian Supreme Judicial Committee and representatives of candidates and members of the media to ensure that the ballot box was empty in accordance with Election Law No. 5 of 2014.

According to Syrian Interior Minister Mohammed al-Rahmon, 12,102 polling stations have been set up in all cities and across the country to hold elections, and more will be added if needed, according to relevant officials.
