Statement by Iraqi Resistance Groups on the Baghdad-Washington Strategic Dialogue

On the eve of the start of a new round of strategic talks between Washington and Baghdad, the Coordinating Council of Iraqi Resistance Groups announced in a statement the positions of these groups in this regard.

The Coordinating Council of Iraqi Resistance Groups issued a statement on Tuesday evening regarding the strategic dialogue between Baghdad and Washington.

A new round of strategic talks between Washington and Baghdad is set to begin today (Wednesday), focusing on security, counter-terrorism, the economy, energy, political issues, and fostering and cultural cooperation, according to the State Department.

According to the Saberin News Telegram Channel, the statement from the resistance groups stated in connection with this conversation: “We are facing a round or rounds of talks that the Iraqi government is about to enter into with the occupying US government as a ‘strategic dialogue’, in addition to agreements and alliances with some of the countries whose economies have collapsed. According to credible information, tomorrow’s dialogue statement will be incoherent and unsupervised, with no reference to the implementation of a parliamentary resolution on the expulsion of US troops occupying Iraqi territory.

The following is the statement: “As we have already mentioned, what is surprising and dubious about this dialogue is that it is not based on a clear premise and does not contain a clear roadmap, and on the other hand, despite the fact that more than a year has passed, the results are clear and “It has not been made public.”

The resistance groups went on to state their position on the dialogue in eight paragraphs:

  1. “First of all, we do not accept this incoherent statement that the [negotiating] committee is going to issue, and we call for the last time that a dialogue committee consisting of competent, impartial, academic figures be formed and that their selection be transparent and transparent.

2. “There should be no American or British nationals on this committee.”

3. “A parallel committee should be formed consisting of scientific, academic and political figures whose task is to create a roadmap for the dialogue committee and to follow their actions and the results of the dialogue.”

4. “At the forefront of this plan and at the beginning of the action is the implementation of the decision of the Iraqi people and parliament to expel all American and foreign troops from Iraqi territory, provided that this step covers Iraqi airspace and its full protection, and any “Prevent foreign flights and violations of this privacy.”

5. “If this condition is violated, not fulfilled and does not exist in the statement of the current committee, any dialogue and agreement in a country whose sovereignty has been violated, its territory, borders, sky and decisions have been given to foreigners, will be worthless and meaningless.” .

6. “Define a clear time limit for this dialogue as well as a time limit for implementing the results of the dialogue. Free time politics, which means postponing [demands] to the future and ruining demands, is not acceptable.”

7. “The Iraqi resistance, which has always demonstrated its commitment to its commitments, is in high demand, given the persistent and persistent request of many Iraqi parties to build broad fronts against the presence of all US occupiers in Iraq and concentrated and painful attacks on these forces.”

8. “After the ceasefire announced by the resistance groups and at the request of some parties to maintain the rules of engagement with the occupying forces, as well as the results of talks and meetings to be held with the President of the occupying US country, The resistance groups are obliged to respond with full force and firmness [to the enemy] in the absence of a clear and unequivocal announcement that the full withdrawal of the occupying forces, whether ground or air, will take place. In this case, the resistance will not accept any request to wait for the outcome of the dialogue and political debates.”
