Saudi Arabia/ Warning about a new round of military executions for refusing to take part in the Yemeni war

According to Al-Manar, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Tajma ‘al-Watani party has warned of a new round of executions of Saudi soldiers for refusing to take part in aggression against Yemen.

At the same time as its official and semi-official anti-repression media activities in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi opposition party reiterated its previous position on the need to end the devastating war in Yemen, declaring that nothing but damage to all sides and widespread casualties to Saudi Arabia and its brothers.

The Patriotic Union Party further warned against the execution of Saudi soldiers for refusing to take part in the Yemeni war, their reluctance to bomb civilians or destroy Yemeni infrastructure, and a number of political reasons.

The party also added that the Yemeni war is like other hasty decisions of the Al-Saud regime and not the decision of the Saudi people. Also, the military institutions and their experts and officials have not made such a decision, and the Saudi people reject any war, especially war with neighboring countries.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense recently announced that it had executed three military officials on charges of treason. A statement from the Saudi Ministry of Defense stated that three soldiers, Mohammed bin Ahmad bin Yahya Akam, Shahr bin Isa bin Qasim Haqwi and Hammoud bin Ibrahim bin Ali Hazemi, had committed the crime of treason because their investigations proved that they were against the Saudi Arabia and its military interests and have cooperated with enemies.

But following the news, the Islamic Ummah Party of Saudi Arabia issued a statement saying that the execution of three soldiers on the front lines in Jazan was part of intimidating soldiers from fleeing the fronts, especially after a large part of their salaries and benefits were cut off.

The statement by the Saudi Islamic Ummah party was in fact an allusion to the deteriorating situation of the Saudi military in the Yemeni war, which are forced to remain on the Yemeni battlefield for fear of punishments such as the death penalty, despite poor conditions and low salaries. Of course, the detention of Saudi soldiers by the Saudi regime is not limited to ordinary soldiers, and in recent years several high-ranking officers of the Saudi army have been targeted by the Al-Saud detention campaign under various pretexts such as bribery or corruption.
