Palestinian scholars warn against Zionist attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Palestinian Ulema Association warned of a Zionist call for a mass attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday, July 18th.

According to the Palestinian Information Center, Nasim Yassin, the association’s president, said in a statement: After failing to attack the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the 28th month of Ramadan, Jewish extremist groups and organizations now intend to achieve this sinister goal on the 8th of Dhu al-Hijjah, the anniversary of what they call the “destruction of the temple.” Al-Aqsa Mosque will hold Talmudic ceremonies inside it and raise the flag of the Zionist regime in it.

Yassin stressed the need to confront the occupying Jewish settlers and prevent them from attacking Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying that experience has shown that i’tikaaf in Al-Aqsa Mosque is the best way to confront the Zionists and thwart their sinister plans.

He called on the Palestinian people to attend the Al-Aqsa Mosque and perform i’tikaaf in it from the 8th of Dhu al-Hijjah. Yassin also called on Arab and Islamic nations to show solidarity with Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque in the face of the Israeli occupation.

According to reports, Jewish groups and organizations are preparing for a massive mass attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque on the anniversary of what they call the “destruction of the Temple” (July 18).

On this day, the Zionists want to attack the Al-Aqsa Mosque and hold Talmudic ceremonies in its grounds while holding a provocative march in the old part of Quds.

Simultaneously with the decision of these Zionist groups to attack Al-Aqsa Mosque, two extremist Jewish organizations, the “Temple Supporters” and the “Temple Heritage”, merged to form the “Temple Mountain in Our Hands”.

Meanwhile, the Palestinians also issued large-scale calls for a large presence in Al-Aqsa Mosque and I’tikaf to prevent the Zionist settlers from invading the mosque.
