Addressing the Iranian nation at the beginning of the new solar year, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution described the past year as a year for Iranians to unleash their energy in the face of the Corona epidemic and US pressure, he said that the enemy adopted a policy of maximum pressure against Iran while he knew that the Iranian nation would oppose this policy and it would fail. However, today he was forced to admit that our policy has failed.
He added that our enemies, led by the United States, wanted to subdue our nation with the utmost pressure, today, they and their European friends say that the pressure often failed, when we knew it would fail, and we were determined to defeat the enemy. We knew that the Iranian nation would persevere, but today they themselves are acknowledging that this limit has often failed.
In his message, Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the damage caused to the country by Corona, said that the year 1399 (Hijri) came to an end with many and some unprecedented events. One of the events that really struck as new to our nation was the Corona epidemic that affected the nation’s life, people’s work, learning environment, religious gatherings, travel, sports and the country’s diversity and other issues and severely damaged employment in the country.
But the most painful thing is to embrace the death of tens of thousands of our dear citizens who have caused tens of thousands of families to grieve and mourn. I offer my condolences to all these dear families and share their grief. May God Almighty grant them patience and reward and forgive the deceased and bestow mercy on them.
