The UN Security Council has tightened sanctions against Yemen’s Ansarullah.
Following recent operations by Yemeni resistance forces against the UAE and Saudi Arabia, the UN Security Council today (Monday) tightened sanctions against the Ansarullah movement.
According to the UAE National News, changes were made to the UAE’s proposals, and arms sanctions against a number of Yemeni Ansarullah leaders turned into arms sanctions against the entire group.

Eleven members of the UN Security Council voted in favor of the resolution, while four members in Norway, Mexico, Ireland and Brazil abstained.
Lana Nasibeh, the UAE’s representative to the United Nations, claimed in a statement: The resolution aims to limit the capacity of the Houthis and intensify the war in Yemen.
According to the United Nations, the war in Yemen has so far directly and indirectly claimed the lives of 37,000 people in the country.
