Haniyeh demanded the release of Palestinians detained by Saudi Arabia

Pak Sahafat – The head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement called on the king and crown prince of Saudi Arabia to release all the Palestinians detained in this country.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Saturday, quoting Ahed news site, Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, asked Salman bin Abdulaziz Shah and Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi crown prince, to release all Palestinians detained in Saudi Arabia through a royal amnesty.

In a message to the Saudi King and Crown Prince on the occasion of the 92nd National Day of Saudi Arabia, he added that this country should remain the home of security and peace for the Palestinians, just like in the past decades.

Khalid Meshaal, the head of the Hamas movement abroad, recently announced that in an interview with Al Jazeera television channel, in response to Saudi Arabia’s position towards Hamas and the imprisonment of a number of members of this movement, including its representative in Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Al-Khizri, he said that they were subjected to terrible torture.

He raised the question, for whose benefit are the arrested people tortured? Why are they being tried? Hamas is not part of the Arab disputes, so they should be released as soon as possible.

The Hamas movement had announced in its previous statements that about 60 Palestinians, including “Mohammed Al-Khadri”, one of the leaders of this movement, and his son “Hani” were beheaded in Saudi prisons.

This is while the Saudi government has not made any comments or explanations since the beginning of the discussion about the case of Palestinian detainees in Saudi Arabia.

The Hamas movement announced in September 2019 that the Saudi authorities arrested al-Khadri and his son as part of the wave of arrests of dozens of Palestinians, some of whom have Jordanian citizenship.
