A Palestinian source reported on the clauses of the new national reconciliation document presented by Palestinian groups and the head of the Palestinian Authority.
Shahab news agency was quoted as saying by the Palestinian “We have presented a document for the reconciliation of Palestine by the (Goodwill Commission) consisting of several Palestinian figures, so that the recent meetings in Cairo on behalf of Sheikh Saleh al-Aruri and Jibril Rajab, from where they ended.”
He added: I met with Yahya al-Senwar in Gaza, he was an incentive for reconciliation and he had a positive position. I also met with Ismail Haniyeh and the leadership of Hamas in Istanbul to present a reconciliation plan, and there was an important agreement and the positions were very positive.
Al-Masri emphasized: Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas asked Hamas for written approval to recognize the International Quartet Committee for the formation of the government, and we said that the International Quartet should recognize Hamas and that this movement is part of the Palestinian national fabric and not terrorism.
In the end, he said: We want the reconstruction of Gaza and the lifting of the siege. Gaza is an important part of Palestine. We want the participation of all Palestinians and we are implementing the document on which we fully agree.
