Al-Houthi: They are besieging our nation and asking us to stop the war

Referring to the continuation of the Saudi coalition’s aggression against the Yemeni people, a member of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council Mohammed Ali al Houthi called for an end to the aggression and an end to the siege of Yemen.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council, stressed the need to end the siege of Yemen.

Al-Houthi wrote on his Twitter account: “The member states of the Saudi coalition and its allies are besieging the Yemeni people and continuing to aggress, invade and occupy parts of our homeland and ask us to stop (the war)!”

He added: You stop the aggression and lift the siege, then the famine stops and the catastrophe ends.

Al-Houthi also wrote: “Once again, I would like to remind you of the statement of our martyred commander, who said in response to the former regime about the cessation of hostilities, who said: “We did not start the war, withdraw your troops, the war will stop.”

Saudi Arabia, at the head of an Arab coalition backed by the United States, has launched a military aggression against Yemen and imposed a land, air and sea siege on April 26, 2015, claiming that it was trying to bring the resigned Yemeni president back to power. The military aggression did not achieve any of the goals of the Saudi coalition and was only accompanied by the killing and wounding of tens of thousands of Yemenis, the displacement of millions, the destruction of the country’s infrastructure and the spread of famine and infectious diseases.
