Al-Azhar called for international action against Israeli aggression

Al-Azhar al-Sharif in Egypt stressed the “uselessness” of Israel’s decisions on the Palestinian territories and called on the international community to oppose Israel’s decisions.

This position was taken in Al-Azhar statement, on the occasion of the forty-fifth anniversary of “Palestine Day”.

Land Day is the day that six Palestinians were killed on March 30, 1976, in protest of Israel’s decision to confiscate about 2,100 hectares of land in Galilee, Triangle (northern Israel) and Negb (south) on March 30, 1976.

Al-Azhar said it “reaffirms its constant commitment to support the Palestinian people and their legal struggle for their occupied lands.”

Al-Azhar stressed that Israel’s efforts “will only lead to struggle, steadfastness and determination to restore the rights of the people completely and without compromise.”

Al-Azhar called on the international community to “confront all the futile unilateral decisions taken by the Zionist regime to seize more Palestinian land.”
