Opening of the Iranian Film Festival in Lahore with the presence of Pakistani art figures

The Iranian Film Festival opened today in the city of Lahore, on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, with the presence of prominent Pakistani artistic, cultural and political figures and Iranians living in the city of Lahore.

Famous Pakistani director Sayed Noor, Mubasher Loghman, Pakistani analyst, Iqbal Salahuddin, grandson of Allama Iqbal Lahori, Vahid Al-Zaman, Iqbal, Persian poet and poetess, Tanzileh Imran, Leaders of the ruling Pakistani party in Punjab, Dr. Falihah Kazemi, head of the Persian department at Lahore Women’s University, and a group of intellectuals attended.

Pakistani personalities in a speech congratulating the 43rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution to the Supreme Leader and the people of Iran commemorated the name of Imam Khomeini, the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Jafar Ronas,” the head of the Iranian House of Culture in Lahore, said in a speech: 43 years ago, the Iranian nation, led by Imam Khomeini, established a religious democracy for the first time in the world with the overthrow of the imperial regime.

Ronas said: “Cinema in Iran is called the seventh art and from today for three days we will show 5 prominent Iranian films, the purpose of which is to acquaint Pakistani citizens with the taste of Iranian films.”

Congratulating the 43rd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution to the Supreme Leader and the people of Iran, Mubasher Loghman, a well-known Pakistani presenter and senior analyst, said: “When the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini won, many people thought that This revolution will not last and in this regard, the eight-year war was imposed on this country, but after the end of the war, the Iranian nation, while rebuilding its country and at the same time confronting the conspiracies of the West, made significant progress in all areas with unimaginable speed. All these developments surprised everyone.

“Iranian cinema has reached an important place in the world and we always like Iranian films,” said Sayed Noor, a famous Pakistani director at the Iranian Film Festival in Lahore.

Emphasizing the cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the field of film production, he added: “The two neighboring countries and Muslims have great potential in the field of artistic cooperation.”

A number of other Pakistani artistic and scientific figures congratulated the people and government of Iran on the 43rd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and said: “Despite the hostile actions of the United States and its allies, the Islamic Revolution of Iran is moving in its revolutionary direction with full authority.”

On the sidelines of the festival, an exhibition of Iranian culture, handicrafts, and women’s clothing and hijab was also displayed, which was well received by visitors.

Many Pakistani news channels and representatives of the Lahore-based print media also covered the opening ceremony of the Iran Film Festival and the commemoration of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
