Zionist fighters attack southern Lebanon

Zionist media reported that the regime’s air force fighters were targeting positions on the southern Lebanese border with occupied Palestine.

Zionist media reported on Thursday morning that the regime was continuing its aggressive attacks on Lebanese territory on the country’s southern border with occupied Palestine.

Yuaf Zaytoun, a military correspondent for Yedioth Ahronoth, wrote on his Twitter page a few minutes ago: “Israeli Air Force fighters are now attacking targets in southern Lebanon in response to rocket fire at noon [Wednesday].”

Initial reports indicate that Israeli F-16 fighter jets targeted forested areas on the outskirts of the southern Lebanese town of Al-Aishiya.

Al-Manar TV quoted Lebanese security sources as saying: “At 12:40 a.m. Thursday (August 5, 2021 local time), Israeli enemy planes carried out two attacks on the Damascus area on the outskirts of al-Mahmoudiyah and the al-Harjiyah area on the outskirts of al-Aishiyah in southern Lebanon.”

The Israeli army spokesman also confirmed the attacks, saying in a statement: “Tonight, warplanes attacked areas of Lebanon from which a rocket was fired at Israel yesterday. The warplanes also hit another target in an area from which they had previously fired rockets at Israel.”

The statement continued by reiterating unsubstantiated and baseless allegations against the Lebanese resistance: “The Lebanese government is responsible for what is happening inside its territory. The Israeli army has warned against continuing to attack the Israelis and its rule.”

At noon on Wednesday, Zionist media reported the sound of a rocket warning in the Zionist town of occupied northern Palestine, near the Lebanese border, following the firing of three rockets.
