The Zionist regime, which has not been able to approve its annual budget since 2018 due to the lack of a cabinet, has now approved a budget that will probably face many difficulties for its final approval in the Knesset.
On Monday, the Zionist regime’s cabinet approved the regime’s new budget for 2021 and 2022. The regime, which has not been able to approve its annual budget since 2018 due to the lack of a cabinet in three consecutive elections, has now approved its budget for the next two years in the cabinet, awaiting a vote in the Knesset as the final budget. The approved budget of the cabinet must bring 61 votes from the Knesset of the Zionist regime.
The new budget of the Zionist regime
According to the budget approved by the Israeli cabinet, the total budget for 2021 will be 432.5 billion shekels ($ 133.78 billion) and the budget for 2022 will be 452.5 billion shekels (about $ 140 billion).
In the budget, the budget of the Ministry of Health was set at 5 billion shekels (about $ 1.55 billion), which is an increase of 2 billion shekels (about $ 619 million) compared to the past. The ministry’s budget for 2022 will increase by about 3 billion shekels ($ 928 million). Meanwhile, the Minister of Health of the Zionist regime, “Nitsan Horovich”, called for an increase in the budget in a way that would reduce the pressure on the health centers, and at the same time, the Zionist regime’s health personnel threatened to go on strike if their salaries were not increased. Prior to the budget meeting, the defense production budget for 2022 was set at 58 billion shekels ($ 17.8 billion) based on an agreement reached between War Minister Benny Gantz and Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman. The ministry’s budget in 2019 was about 55.3 billion shekels ($ 17 billion).
The largest budget is for the Ministry of Education, amounting to 66.54 billion shekels, which, in addition to the aid provided to the ministry for the corona outbreak, is an increase of $ 2.3 billion compared to this year.
Deadline for budget approval
According to the election laws, the annual budget of the Zionist regime must be approved in the Knesset of this regime no later than 100 days after the formation of the cabinet. Otherwise, the Knesset and the cabinet will be dissolved automatically, and early elections will be held.
Now, this budget must get the 61 votes of the Knesset representatives in the Knesset before November 4, otherwise the Zionist regime will have to wait for a new election.
Threats of cabinet opponents
Netanyahu, the former prime minister and head of the opposition in the Israeli cabinet, said after the budget was approved that he had no such bad budget in the history of the Zionist regime. He announced that the current cabinet would return to power soon due to the non-approval of the budget. Now the opposition, which holds 57 seats, will be dissolved if the Zionist regime’s cabinet can win four dissenting votes.
War between left and right
While opponents of the cabinet are trying to oust the current cabinet, the cabinet is also trying to restore all avenues for Netanyahu to return to power. In this regard, those close to Netanyahu have been removed from key positions. The Israeli army has changed more than 26 command posts, which included commanders close to Netanyahu. The head of the Zionist regime’s Internal Security Council and the deputy chief of staff of the army also changed in this regard.
